So, where I’m currently hunkered down has many delightful natural resources, including wild blackberries. On my recent trip to an undisclosed location to visit a complete stranger (disclosure: “a complete stranger” was the desired pseudonym…I don’t typically visit strangers and bake cupcakes for them, even complete strangers I am as fond of as this one), we decided to use blackberries instead of blueberries, and I think we were both fairly pleased with the results.
These are the lemon cupcakes from the earlier experiment with M. Ducksworth, with a slight variation. I’m rather lazy at the moment, so I’m not going to go find and copy the recipe, especially since the recipe’s only alteration is to replace blueberries with blackberries, and to spray the tin instead of using liners. However, enjoy the thought of these tasty tasty cupcakes.
